Riz at the Border:  A Photo Blog at Chong Chom Market

Location: Surin-Chong Chom Road,

Ban Dan Phatthana | Dan subdistrict,

Kap Choeng, Thailand

Similar to many markets around the Northeast, Isaan, Chong Chom border market is a local market where you can find many things to buy from children’s toys to electrical goods. During my recent visit to my in-law’s house, I visited this market along with my wife and her cousins. It was a nice memorable trip close to the Thailand-Cambodian border. Located at Dan, Kap Choeng in Surin, this market is famous for fresh vegetables, bugs, electronic goods, cheap jeans, shoes, and plenty of other things on offer. Prices are reasonable and it makes for a nice day of shopping whether you are visiting nearby or travelling between countries!

The market is approximately 70 kilometers from Surin town and 11 kilometers from Amphoe Kap Choeng, via Surin-Chong Chom Road.
