Food Specialist &Tour guide, K. Jah

Tour guides are the heart of our food tour business and recently Taste of Thailand had this opportunity to sit down with our guide KhunJah to find out a little bit more about her.

-Where are you from originally?

-Nakonpathom (City of the Great Stupa),which is a peaceful city to the north of Bangkok.  I have also lived and spent much time in Chiang Mai!

-Great! How long have you been a guide?

-I have been a guide for 2 years now and with Taste of Thailand for 4 months.

-What do you like most about your job?

-Getting to know people from all over the world and making new friends!

-What is your favorite Thai food?

-Pad KraPao Moo(stir-fried holy basil w/pork).

-What is your favorite place in Bangkok?

-Phu Kao Tong (The Golden Mountain) at WatSaket.  It is a quiet and peaceful place right in the middle of the city.

-Sounds cool! What do you like to do in your free time?

-I love cooking. I can cook delicious Thai food.

-Three things you couldn’t live without?

-Food, family and friends.

-If you could travel anywhere in the world to try the food, where would you go? Why?

-Tsukiji market in Tokyo, Japan. It’s the world’s largest fish market. As I’m a fish lover, I very much wish to visit and try fresh fish and other foods there once in my life.
