Food Specialist & Tour guide, K. Joker

Tour guides are the heart of our food tour business and recently Taste of Thailand had thechance to chat with our guide Khun Joker to find out a little bit more about him.

-Where are you from originally?

-I’m from right here in Bangkok!

-How long have you been a guide?

– 8 years

-What do you like most about your job?

– This job makes me feel independent and I have learned a great deal about how to manage my time and my life.  I enjoy being a guide since I love meeting new people and sharing my love of Thailand and Thai culture.

-What is your favorite Thai food?

– Nam prik and boiled vegetables, Thai style Omelet with spring onions,  and stir fried eggplant with garlic.

-What is your favorite place in Bangkok? 

-The Grand Palace and all local markets!

-What do you like to do in your free time?

–Look after my house, watch movies, join a special training course or taking a drive from  Bangkok to visit other provinces.

-What are three things you couldn’t live without?

–Air, water and food (and family and good friends!).

-If you could travel anywhere in the world to try the food, where would you go? Why?

– Italy, Japan and Korea. I would love to try different kinds of food there!
