Food Specialist & Tour guide, K. Sarida

Tour guides are the heart of our food tour business and recently Taste of Thailand had the chance to chat with our guide Khun Sarida to find out a little bit more about her. Sarida is a very smart, intelligent and hardworking tour guide who always welcome foodies with a charming smile.

-Where are you from originally?

-I was born in the Northeast of Thailand, also known as E-San and live in Bangkok now.

-How long have you been a guide?

– This is my 5th year (almost 6!) as a guide.

-What do you like most about your job?

 

– I like to tell stories and share my travel and food experiences with visitors to Thailand.

-What is your favorite Thai food?

– “Som Tam” or Papaya Salad.

-What is your favorite place in Bangkok? 

-I love spending time at restaurants with a great view, combining the beauty of Bangkok with amazing tastes!

-What do you like to do in your free time?

–I love to cook Thai food.

-What are three things you couldn’t live without?

–Money, Food and Family

-If you could travel anywhere in the world to try the food, where would you go? Why?

– Japan. I would like to explore, learn and experience new things, which are different from Thailand. I also love Ra-men noodles and would love to taste it there in person.
